SCP-3333 Utopia
Here are some details about this project.
Here are some concept arts renders.
Everything in this scene was modelled from scratch.
The actor was an interactive object(A emissive plane with a chroma keyed clip textured on it) in the scene.
(I know this is the reverse of the normal compositing workflow, but it works so much better imo.)
I made a lot of props for this short film. For example this chair, it was designed, modelled and textured from scratch. Not the best work I’ve done but it looked fairly good in this specific scene.
I also designed and constructed this lab as the main stage where the story took place, I made all the 3d models, textured them properly and used DECALmachine to lift it up a little.
Here are some of the image textures I used during the process. I love utilizing the alpha channel to add complexities in the scene.

2D stuff
The protagonist got very angry and some energy blasted out of his body.
This shot was filmed in severe low light, it was not an easy clip to work on.
I used the difference between each frames to create this effect, and composited this shot in Davinci.
There’s a fatal consequence from the last scene. Our antagonist was hit by the blasts and vanished into thin air
I filmed this shot and a clean plate, rotoed the original clip and pin it on the clean plate. Classic procedure for this kind of clips.
A few layers of effects were used in this shot.
A fair amount of 2D VFX was involved in this project as well. And here are some of the examples.
Here are some other renders from other scenes of the movie that are still under making. I am pretty confident about chroma keying and compositing, especially for 2D&3D combinations.
2D character interacting with 3D character in a 3D scene.
3D object (the vine) interacting with 2D character in a 2D scene with some 2D VFX.
Classic roto. The Gauze curtains were really a hard to key since they were semi-transparent.
